Since my share of the harvest will not be affected, why do I care? should I be more generous and welcoming?
Who is my real enemy?
Why do I have any? I do my duty, play my part, and dont short change anybody.
Am i missing out on something political brewing beneath the surface?
Why are things so complicated, when all I want is to do my duty, get paid for doing what I did.

The Shepherd and the sheep
Long before yesterday, there lived a flock of sheep in the quiet countryside of Maple Hills. The fields of Maple were not exactly the most luscious and green, but at least there was sufficient grass for each sheep to stay alive.
One day, there came a shepherd excitedly, exclaiming about the wondrous lands of the west, where crop grew bountifully and where the earth was painted by the fields of gold.
“I have a vision, that the grass is greener of the other side! Where the pastures will be so green, that you can’t tell the difference between green and gold!!!” the shepherd exclaimed.
However, the shepherd could not endeavor the long journey to the mysterious wonderland all by himself, for he would have frozen to death, on the cold winter journey to the west.
One by one, he invited the sheep of Maple Hills to join him on the journey to the mystical west, but sadly, some of his favorite sheep denied.
After asking several sheep, the shepherd was finally able to persuade 5 of the most courageous sheep to join him on this new journey. He repeated the same story to each sheep, promising them that beyond the plains of snow, exists wondrous fields of gold, each sheep will be able to share the bountiful harvest from these fields, instead chewing on plain and fading grass.
And so the shepherd led the sheep onto a new journey. Not knowing of the ordeals that lay ahead… Not knowing of how many winters they await…but still the obedient sheep trusted the shepherd and followed his lead.
So came the harsh winter, in the fields of snow thicker than cream, where the temperature was cold and unfeeling…but the flock persevered.
On some days. The shepherd fed them with fodder…but on some days, the sheep went hungry, without a single blade of grass.
On the coldest and most inhumane moments, the sheep volunteered their warm and soft wool to be sheered, so that it could in turn be sold for silvers, to keep the journey and dream alive.
Finally, after a few arduous months, the flock and the shepherd took their last steps out of the snow field into the awesome basking sun. Winter was over… they saw a glimpse of the wondrous gold fields from 100 miles and were delighted to move on.
In the meanwhile, the sheep that denied the invitation to the west was leading a peaceful and bountiful life…infact, it had grown so fat and its fur so thick and wooly, while the rest of the sheep were so frail, they couldn’t even be served as lamp chop.
The sheep that denied the invitation was black sheep. It had now heard about the rumors of the fields of gold, that it had once dismissed as blasphemy and too wanted a place in the glorious fields.
The kind shepherd sent a dove to black sheep.
“Dear black sheep, the wondrous fields of gold are just ahead, would you like to join us on this journey?”
By then, the snow had already melted, and the path towards the glorious fields were clear. Blacksheep immediately agreed. He swaggered across the empty plains, which was once the arduous journey that the flock and shepherd had wandered across. It was peaceful and warm and the blacksheep got to keep its wooly fur intact.
“oh sure, lets go on together to the fields of gold!” Blacksheep volunteered.
The flock willingly accepted the new black sheep on board. For they were too, kind and welcoming.
However, one day, the shepherd exclaimed, “Blacksheep will be a part of you now, and I will share with him the crops of the fields of gold in future.”
“While you will receive 5% of my crops, which may range from 1000 hectares of land and above, blacksheep who has been with the journey with us since the harsh winter has passed, will also be receiving between 1000 – 3000 hectares of land and crops”
The flock was stunned…they could not believe that the shepherd is sharing such a significant portion of the hard earned fields of gold to this new sheep.
The flock that had gone through hungry and cold months with the shepherd, the flock who shed their wool in the coldest and neediest times of winter…is of the same contribution to the new sheep that had swaggered pass the aftermath roughly a month ago?
The white sheep, though grateful for the shepherd’s opportunity, was shocked and awed by the his decision. But perhaps, the shepherd will soon notice, that white sheep, do not mix around with black sheep… perhaps the shepherd will remember, why the white sheep are wool-less and frail. But the black sheep has still, the thickest wool.
A wool measuring 4.75 inches thick.

casanova
Sometimes I hear stories of myself being a Casanova, me liking girls A B C D E F G etc etc..
I don't need to explain myself cos if you believe this bullshit its your fault not mine... I didnt tell u about girls acbcdefgh did I? You chose to listen to these empty fabrications...
If you're one of these airheads...
I dont need your forgiveness, I dont need your friendship.
Think what you like cos i dont care and I know my true friends will stay by my side
and but laugh at the rumors you're about to share.
Feel guilty for judging a friend. But this Christmas, if you were once my friend...
you know I actually do love you all =)

Farmer
What do you wanna be when you grow up?
Well a long time ago...when I was in primary 1, I wanted to be a soldier...
but den what is a soldier without a battle? who do you protect your family and friends against? (the germs in the air? the mosquitoes in the camp?) All they do is collect their salary, and do surface acts that helps them get promoted faster...no guts no glory... (at least not in Singapore)
Keyboard warriors battling it out on papers and reports...nerds with muscles? What more?
What do you wanna be when you grow up?
Long ago...when I was in poly year 1, I wanted to be a manager on board a cruise...
Starting from Superstar Virgo, to Princess Cruises Alaska and one day Queen Elizabeth 2... Arent the seas so blue and beautiful...lonely but peaceful?
But perhaps it was too lonely... the soldier's life made me realise I actually missed home...
We used to sing while marching "I know, I know... you have to go...so hurry back home... cos I miss you so..."
In the times of shit...when home is so warm and welcoming... perhaps being on a cruise ship for several months in a go...was not for me...
What do you wanna be when you grow up?
I want to be a farmer on a ranch...a farmer??!?! you would say... anyone can be a farmer...What a useless dream today...
Well you are so wrong... Everyone might have the cognitive ability to learn how to farm and rear animals...but WHO CAN DO THAT TODAY?
What does society do to you when you do something, that is not encouraged by the government? something not even deviant...but just different?
People will ostracize you and thats the price you'd pay...
But yet a farmer so carefree, with lands with air so fresh, with sights more peaceful than the lonely sea...where life becomes a breeze.
But who I am to be... What I want to be... How am I to stand against, the many (society) in my way?
